If there are two sports that complement each other any better than golf and curling, we can't think of them. Golf is a passion for everyone getting this newsletter but unfortunately, in Canada, winter will arrive and golf is no longer possible (ok Victoria, we know you can golf all year but let's go with this!). Many of us say goodbye to our summer foursomes and move indoors to say hi to our winter foursomes and enjoy the very Canadian pass time of curling.
The synergy of timing is spot on, and the camaraderie is similar in both sports - the perfect complementary sports.
TJ and Ron are both golfer/curlers and we want to share the passion we have for both sports by inviting you to join Golf Away Tours in October 2022 as three Canadian Curling greats join us to host the the 4th Sweep and Swing Tour.
Glenn Howard is returning after hosting the 2019 Tour, and he will be joined by Sherry and Wayne Middaugh as hosts in 2022 for a memorable 9 day golf and curling tour in the ancestral home of both of these great sports - Scotland!

The EU and the UK have both announced re-opening plans that will see vaccinated international travelers welcome over the coming weeks and with the vaccination rates rising so quickly in Canada, including second vaccinations being accelerated (Ron is already double vaxed), travel is really starting to open up and we are so excited for everyone to get going on their trips.

Yes, we know this is The Masters scoreboard but we haven't been to a PGA or US Open so this will have to do!!

1 quick fun fact because its the most fun fact of them all - 93% of pool entrants, including Ron who won a beer side bet on the event, beat TJ's score in the PGA Championship Pool. TJ did a bit better in the Women's U.S. Open pool thankfully, he even came in 3rd, although he still lost to Ron who actually one the pool (of course, the bonus entries go to top 3 not TJ and Ron!).
