The Highlands are blessed with many wonderful testing courses. Some of the world's greatest links courses reside in the north of Scotland. The names of the courses themselves (Royal Dornoch, Brora, and Nairn to name a few) should be enough to make you pack your clubs and set off. Hidden gems are dotted throughout, such as Fraserburgh and Boat of Garten. Newcomer Castle Stuart has immediately taken its place as a must play. Further down the coast in the Aberdeen area there are numerous excellent links courses the world class Royal Aberdeen and Cruden Bay, lesser known courses such as Murcar, and the much heralded Trump International. |
