Package Tours - All New!!
Golf Away Tours is a leader in building customized golf travel experiences to our clients exacting specs (we like to think of ourselves as the club fitters of the golf travel world - not off the rack stuff!!). We will continue to focus on the custom trips our clients trust us to build however, based on the interest and questions we were getting about our "Win a Trip to Ireland Contest" (many asked to buy a spot on the trip which was not possible), it was really apparent that there is also a large group of golfers out there looking for the opportunity to join Golf Away Tours, and our special guests, on some of the great golf travel experiences we get to enjoy.
With all this interest, we teamed up with Lorne and Natasha to design 2 amazing golf adventures that we want to open up and give everyone the chance to join. In this newsletter, you will find all the details, including links to full itineraries and pricing, so you can decide what trip (or trips) is best for you and get signed up.
Space is limited on both trips though so if your interested, sign up early!!
Also in this month's newsletter:
2021 and 2022 are shaping up to be great golf travel years for the Golf Away Tours team, and our clients, and we could not be happier for everyone - it's been far too long since we all got to get our fixes of golf travel.
We have many clients booked for golf travel in Canada this summer and fall, plus several overseas and Caribbean trips over the fall and winter. After those trips are done, we gear up for VERY busy 2022 travel year with more overseas, and domestic, travel in place than we have ever seen.
Even our personal travel schedules are kicking into gear.
TJ is planning on being in B.C. at least once, maybe twice, by the end of 2021 plus Spain, Casa de Campo and Wales. Ron is also has B.C., Spain and Wales in his plans for the fall, plus a trip to Scotland in November and 2022 is looking equally as busy for both us with multiple local and overseas trips in place already, and no doubt more to get booked.
Things are getting busy in the travel world again and we are so excited for everyone to get going on their trips.
We've said it before, and we'll say it again (basically everyone month!) - talking golf, and golf travel, is our passion so get in touch with us anytime and we would be more than happy to share that passion with you.
Stay safe, stay healthy, enjoy this month’s newsletter and give us a call when you're ready to build your golf getaway - we’ll be happy to bring it to life for you!!!

- TJ will be chatting with both Lorne and Natasha about these great trips, and our contest trip in October 2022, so you can hear straight from them why they are so excited to take part in these trips.
- With the new packages available, we want to highlight these great destinations so we are starting off by looking back at our destination guide to Casa de Campo that we featured in our November 2020 newsletter.
- Results and quick facts from the Golf Away Tours Masters Pool.
- TJ's preview for both the PGA Championship and the Women's U.S. Open - entry info for each of those pools will be coming out the week before the events.
- Golf Away Tours is a proud sponsor of the GTA AM Tour and our feature event - The Tartan - was supposed to run on Monday May 10 at Scarboro Golf Club. Unfortunately, it was cancelled due to interesting government policies in Ontario around safe outdoor activity. Our hole of the month will still feature one of the great par 3's in the GTA, the 4th hole at Scarboro, a classic A. W. Tillinghast course.

Masters Pool Recap
(plus our next 2 Major's pools are fast approaching)
The 2021 Masters was another great tournament and we had a record number of people join our free to enter pool looking for that chance to win bonus entries into our "Win a trip to Ireland" contest.
Our winners we are all notified of their success the week after the tournament but you can see who won, and get a few fun facts on pool results, by clicking the button below.
As a reminder, we are planning to run pools for all the Men's Majors throughout 2021 and, new this year, we will also be running pools for the U.S. Women's Open and Women's Open Championship (which is at Carnoustie this year BTW - that will be a great event to watch!).
2 of those majors are being played over the next month so.....
Keep an eye or your email on Monday May 17 for your chance to enter the PGA Pool and then on Monday May 31 for U.S. Women's Open details.
As a reminder, there is a strict 1 entry per person rule for the Irish contest so the ONLY way to increase your chances of winning is by winning bonus entries in the pools.
Good luck in the pools!!!

TJ's Men's PGA and U.S. Women's Open Previews
As always, we want to help you, the reader, to know who not to pick when you submit your majors pools so once again, TJ will be sharing his thoughts on the tournament and who he thinks will ultimately come out on top. He has already been complaining he had to write this to far in advance (like that would have made a big difference!!)
There is definitely some great insight to be gained by taking a look at these previews - how you use them is up to you!

Hole of the Month
4th hole - Scarboro Golf and Country Club
Golf Away Tours is a very proud sponsor of the GTA AM Tour and every year, we are the official sponsors of The Tartan - one of the many great events run by the GTA AM Tour (if your interested in fun competition on great courses, click here to learn more about the GTA AM Tour and how you can play like an am and get spoiled like a pro).
This year, our event was supposed to be at TJ's home club, Scarboro Golf and Country Club. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled due to draconian Doug Ford imposed restrictions on safe outdoor activities (oops, did we write that - we thought we were using our inside writing ….) but we still wanted to take the chance to highlight a great hole at this great course
This classic A. W. Tillinghast course (the only Tillinghast designed course in Canada by the way) is a wonderful track with many great holes but few will dispute the par 3 fourth hole is one of, if not the, best of the lot.
Click on the link below to learn more about this hole, and get TJ's own thoughts on how to play this this tough down hill par 3.
