Happy New Year everyone and welcome to what we expect will be an exciting 2022 golf travel year.
After a couple of years of limited golf travel, 2022 is shaping up to be a much better year. We are in the midst of a tough wave of Covid with Omicron but all indications are this will pass quickly (and less severely than previous waves) and we can look forward to a more normal 2022 which, for all of us, includes great golf in great locations.

- As we look forward to a big travel year, we needed more hands to help manage your trips so we will introduce everyone to the newest member of the Golf Away Team - Scott Baglole.
- Golf Away Tours, and our partners in Spain, hosted 10 PGA of Canada professionals, and Golf Talk Canada, in Costa Del Sol last Nov/Dec and we'll let you know what we saw.
- Over the holidays, TJ zoomed with a few of the pros we went with and we will share there thoughts on Spain as a golf destination.
- AGL Grass helped TJ get a putting and chipping area installed in his backyard he'll share his experience.
- On December 17, we drew the winner of our Win a Trip to Ireland contest and we'll let everyone know the winner.

Welcome to the team Scott!
On January 4th our office got a bit more crowded, but the workload got a lot more manageable, as we welcomed Scott Baglole to the team.
An experienced golf travel professional, Scott is a welcome addition to the team as we ramp back up to full speed and prepare for a busy 2022 travel year.

Our Win a Trip to Ireland Contest Winner
On March 17, 2021, we announced our Win a Trip to Ireland contest, and we want to thank the thousands of people who entered the contest, and participated in our Major Golf Pools to win bonus entries, for your interest and support of Golf Away Tours.
Unfortunately, as much as we would like you all to be able to enjoy this experience, only one prize was available and we are thrilled to announce Derrick Rice from Ottawa, Ontario, a public player who can often be found chasing the ball around The Marshes Golf Club, as the lucky winner of a trip for 2 to Ireland.
Derrick will join Golf Away Tours, Natasha Staniszewski, Lorne Rubenstein, and special guests, in Ireland next October for 6 days of golf and adventure.
Congratulations to Derrick and thanks again to everyone for entering. Hopefully we can help you all get to Ireland in the future!
