Murcar
- Location: Aberdeen, Scotland
- Open: 1909
- Designer: James Braid
- Key Rankings: 37th best golf course in Scotland, Golf Magazine (2021)
Located on a classic stretch of links land with huge sand dunes, crumpled fairways, whins, burns and heather, Murcar Links Golf Club was founded in 1909. There are some magnificent views from the elevated tees across the North Sea and to Aberdeen City in the south. It’s a beautifully rugged course with lots of natural appeal.
Murcar is not a championship monster, but it’s a very challenging course depsite its rather modest yardage. The rumpled fairways are sometimes very tight and the ball tends to bounce off the knolls and into rough. The greens are mostly sited on raised ground and amongst the dunes flanked by pot bunkers.
