The Emerald Isle is Calling
March is one of the great celebration months of the year, or at least it has one of the great celebration days on March 17th every year.
St Patrick's Day is the day everyone in the world is Irish and for many that means pint after pint of Guinness, wearing green, and speaking in a fake Irish accent. For others, it is a time to think about great golfing adventures they have had on this island of golf, or a reminder to start planning their next golf adventure to Ireland because they know that the tee sheets for some of the best golf course in the world are opening up in just a few weeks.
We don't want to sound like a broken record (we know we have said this many times before) but we really can't emphasize it enough - early planning is key to getting the most out of any trip to Ireland and a trip to Ireland is something worth planning.
Since this issue is focused on the Emerald Isle, we want to highlight that 2 of the biggest name course in Northern Ireland (Royal County Down and Royal Portrush) have announced that they are opening their 2022 tee sheets on May 3, 2021 and we expect that within a couple of weeks of that, they will be all but sold out of available guest times for the key May - September 2022 period.
As a case in point, Ron has already started putting his 2022 buddies trip to Northern Ireland together so his requests are in the queue and he has the chance to get his preferred dates and tee times when the tee sheets open.
We are starting to see a lot of momentum building for global vaccinations but there is no doubt that there is a bit of road ahead until travel gets back to normal. We are working with several clients to move their early 2021 trips into 2022 (and our suppliers are being very flexible to help us make this happen) and that, combined with the many new bookings we expect (and already are in some cases) to be making for 2022, is all but ensuring 2022 will be one of the busiest seasons for overseas golf ever.
This month we are going to take a look how to ensure you get your perfect trip in place, plus share some sample itineraries with you to get you thinking about the many options you can consider.

Ireland 2022
Your guide to taking your perfect trip
May 3, 2021 - Why is this date so important?
Many of the top "bucket list" courses in Ireland, including Royal Portrush and Royal County Down, will be opening up their books for 2022 tee time bookings on that day and we fully expect that this year, even more than in the past, the demand will be off the charts meaning they will book up quickly.
For many of our followers and clients, Ireland is a bucket trip destination and we want to be sure we build your trip to your exact dream. From the time you want to travel, to the courses you play, to the hotels you stay in - it all matter to us because it matters to you. Getting you exactly the vacation you dream of is our goal and if 2022 is when Ireland is on your golf travel list, now is the time to start planning.

Hole of the Month
6th hole - Cruit Island Golf Club
I will admit this is a selfish choice on my part. I have been lucky enough to play some of the great courses in Ireland, and many other parts of the world, but this 9 hole course in North West Ireland is a bucket list course for me and I wanted to share the reasons why with you, one of which is to play the 6th hole of this hidden gem.
This is not an easy access course (hence why I haven't played it yet - even TJ hasn't played it yet!!).
Located about 1hr and 15 minutes from Rosepanna (this months featured destination), 2.5 hours from Portrush (a bucket list course many of you have in your plans to play) and 3 hours from Mont Falcon Estates (last months featured destination), it is a bit of a trek to get there but a trek I ABSOLUTELY need to make sometime.
This 9 hole seaside links may very well be the best, and most hidden, gem of all hidden gems, and the 6th hole is it's signature. Click the link to learn more about that hole, and the course in general, and if your going to Northern Ireland, consider adding it to your itinerary - I will be next time I'm in the area!!
