Spring is springing!!
The weather is getting warmer, the snow is melting, the days are longer, and maybe the greatest sign of spring of all is almost upon us - it's Masters time!
Yes, from April 8 - 11, 2021, we will once again have The Masters back where it belongs - in the spring! A November Masters was fun (and actually probably really necessary given the year we went through!) but was spring in 2020 really spring without Jim Nantz saying hi to us while we looked at beautiful picture of azalais blooming everywhere - we say no and can hardly wait for this right of spring to be back in 2021!
With spring and The Masters upon us, it is time for our first Men's Major Pool of the year so in this newsletter you will find details of how you can enter with a new prize in place for this year - bonus entries into our Win a Trip to Ireland contest. We will be awarding multiple bonus entries in this free to enter pool so winning The Masters Pool could land you in Ireland!
Also in this newsletter you will find:
Spring is here, the weather is warming up and we are getting the clubs ready for a great summer of golf. We have said it before, and we will say it again - talking golf, and golf travel, is our passion so get in touch with us anytime and we would be more than happy to share that passion with you.
Stay safe, stay healthy, enjoy this month’s newsletter and give us a call when you're ready to build your golf getaway, we’ll be happy to bring it to life for you!!!

The Golf Away Team - TJ, Matt and Ron
Changes at Golf Away Tours
Our good friend, great golfer and fantastic colleague Matt Palermo will be leaving Golf Away Tours to take on the challenge of working for the family insurance business. Matt joined Golf Away Tours in 2016 and since day one he has been invaluable to the company. His detail-oriented approach to the business ensured that he provided the ultimate level of service to our clients.
As a single digit, dedicated golfer, Matt had the opportunity to travel the world over the past few years and had to learn how to control his shot trajectory on those windy days in Ireland and Scotland! He earned the trust of not only our clients, but all of our suppliers around the world with his honest, kind and hard-working attitude.
I know we will stay in touch and play lots of golf together this summer still, but we’ll miss having Matt as part of our team. He’s become a great friend and we wish him all the best in the future.
Thanks for all of your hard work Matt, and keep it in the short stuff! You will be missed!

2021 Masters Pool
Hello Friends.
We really can't wait until we hear those familiar words because it means Masters Weekend is upon us and our good friend Jim Nantz is there to take us on the journey.
As great as the tournament is (and it is one of the great sporting events of the year), it is even better if you have someone specific to root for and we are going to give you that chance.
In 2021, we are once again planning to run pools for all the Men's Majors and new this year, we will also be running pools for the U.S. Women's Open and Women's Open Championship (which is at Carnoustie this year BTW - that will be a great event to watch!).
We will be going with the same format as last year but with some slightly different prizing as we give everyone the chance to win extra entries into our Trip to Ireland contest.
Click below to go to the entry page and all the details will be there.
Good luck to everyone and enjoy The Masters.

TJ's Masters Preview
As always, we want to help you, the reader, to know who not to pick when you submit your majors pools so once again, TJ will be sharing his thoughts on the tournament and who he thinks will ultimately come out on top.
There is definitely some great insight to be gained by taking a look at this preview - how you use it is up to you!

TJ chats with Adam Stanley
about The Masters
Adam Stanley, as part of his freelance journalist career where for a number of national and international publications including The Globe and Mail, PGA.com, LPGA.com and his own podcast (amongst many other outlets), has been at Augusta covering The Masters since 2016. Adam even had his name chosen in the famous "media draw" and played Augusta National on the Monday after The Masters in 2016 so he has first hand experience on the famed course.
Earlier this month he joined TJ to talk about all things Masters, and maybe a few more things as well, and we have a chance to listen in on that chat.

Hole of the Month
7th hole - Ballyliffin Glashedy
October 2022.
It's a beautiful day in North West Ireland and your standing on the tee of the 7th hole at the Glashedy Links Course at Ballyliffin Golf Club. A beautiful Irish links day includes, of course, about a 30km gentle breeze and it's coming coming off the left as you look 175 yards look down at the green where you can't help but notice the large pond on the right side of the green. Since the wind is such a gentle breeze (?!?!), it really shouldn't be a problem but you can't get it out of your mind as you step up to the ball and get ready to hit your shot into the green.
What happens next?
Well, hopefully you enter and win our "Win a Trip to Ireland" contest so you can find out how you fared with this shot but, no matter what, this course, and this specific hole with its new tee box, should definitely be on everyone's list of courses they plan to play.
