Ok, so here is where I stray from my previous reviews because, in full disclosure, Whistler is on my “I need to get there list” because I have never been! I have done my fair share of skiing there, and have golfed all around the lower mainland, up through Campbell River and Central / Eastern B.C. (see my other reviews) but I have never had the chance to golf in Whistler and it is a gap I need to fill.
Rated Canada’s number one golf destination by Golf Digest, Whistler’s courses provide an unparalleled mountain golf experience. All 4 of the main courses are on the Score Golf Top 59 Public courses including the Jack Nicklaus’ signature design at Nicklaus North Golf Course, Arnold Palmer’s first ever Canadian design at the Whistler Golf Club, and Robert Trent Jones Jr.’s pre-eminent mountain design at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club and Robert Cupp’s Big Sky Golf Club Big Sky Golf Club. With this level of golf, you have a trip worthy of bucket list status.
Whistler is renowned as a word class resort with an abundance of accommodation choices, food destinations and off-course activities to keep you busy on your getaway and I intend to get there and tell you all about it.
In the meantime, if you’re interested in getting there take a look at what I put together for myself as a trip I would book for myself to get an idea of what you can expect there. If you want to customize your own trip, let us know and we will be happy to work with you on it and if you have an extra spot, let me know and I may be free to join you!!
