If you're reading this you love golf, specifically golf travel and the thrill of playing great courses all over the world. Trips are planned around the best locations and courses and we all remember the great (or not so great) shots on their famous holes but, even the most diehard golfer needs some time off the course.
Many of the hotels we generally book clients into have either onsite spas, or access to facilities close by. They also all have, and are located near, great pubs, bars and restaurants and we can make recommendation and / or reservations for you, or you can explore on your own and find your own special places. Enjoying the local culture that way is really one of the special things about any golf trip. |
Most of the courses we all want to play (think St Andrews, Ballybunion, Cape Kidnapper, Pebble Beach, Leopard Creek etc.) are located in some of the most interesting places in the world and offer fantastic opportunities to explore beyond the golf course. |
At Golf Away Tours we believe in making sure your trip is perfect for you from the moment you land until the moment you leave to come home. We HIGHLY recommend not packing your trip full of activities from dawn to dusk - you really do need to leave time for a last second whim or even to just sit around and relax - but getting a couple / few extras in place really does enhance your trip.
Depending on the exact dates of your travels, there can be great sports or cultural events to take in wherever you are staying. We can (and have) arranged access to some great events around the world, events such as:
The opportunities to attend special events are endless and we would be happy to work with you to plan the perfect “extras” to enhance your trip. |
At any time of year though there are always great tours and side trips you can take to further enhance your overall golf travel experience.
We have put a list together of some of the tours / experiences we think really enhance trips in several of our more popular destinations and starting next month we will be going into more depth on the great options you have, 1 country per newsletter, for great off course activities.
In the meantime, here is a small sampling of some of our favourites. Take a look at some of the options, look for a lot more detail in future newsletters, and always feel free to give us a call anytime to discuss how we can make your golf travel dreams come through.
Enjoy your travels.
