I first met Graham DeLaet at the 2022 RBC Canadian Open, when we were both in the Golf Talk Canada pop up studio on the rink hole. Graham had just announced his retirement from professional golf due to his ongoing back issues, which is a shame as he was one of Canada’s best players and statistically the best ball striker on the PGA Tour in his prime.
Graham has since started working with TSN and the Golf Channel and has a great future ahead of him as a broadcaster. When we met, we chatted about the possibility of doing some travel together. Fast forward 18 months, and Graham hosted his first trip, a group of 16 to Casa de Campo.
The trip was a treat for all 16 that joined us, with each person having the privilege of playing a round with Graham at one of the best golf resorts in the world. The courses were as good as they’ve ever been, the weather was perfect, and of course the food at the 6 resort restaurants blew everyone away. The drinks were tasty too, I heard!
Evenings were often spent at the lobby bar with Graham entertaining us with stories of his time on Tour. He was an exceptional host and we look forward to our next trip hosted by Graham, stay tuned to find out where we’ll be going! You won’t want to miss out.
