It has now become the beacon (lighthouse reference) for anyone who wants to experience the game of golf the way it was truly meant to be played. |
The Maritimes consist of Newfoundland, Price Edward Island, New Brunswick, and my own home province of Nova Scotia. They will always hold an enormous spot in my heart for all the above reasons and I have a passion to tell “their” story to anyone who will listen. Canada may not be steeped in the Scottish or Irish epic history of golf, however the same long-live and cherished traditions and love of the game live on in the Maritimes, where you can experience epic golf trips without even leaving our beautiful country. Now I could go on and on, (and on and on…) about the East Coast however I just wanted to touch on a few tracks to excite your golf senses.
Cabot Cape Breton Resort houses 2 of the top 10 courses in Canada, the Cliffs and the Links course. Both offer a pure golf experience along the ocean, and the resort offers views, amenities, and great golf from start to finish. Highlands Links, set within the base of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, which also just happens to be one of the most beautiful car rides you will ever take, is the 1939 rugged Stanley Thompson designed gem - a gorgeous spot where golf and Mother Nature team up together to create perfect harmony.
Now that was just a wee bit of Nova Scotia. Prince Edward Island is also home to some of the top courses in Canada. This is where every green is an “island” green. The Links at Crowbush Cove has always ranked within the top 40 as well as being joined by Dudarave Golf Club to round out the two top 50 courses in Canada.
