Mendoza Vineyard
With over 350,000 acres of land devoted to growing grapes it is easy to see why the Mendoza Province in Argentina is South Americas largest wine region, with the country itself being top 10 in the world for wine production. The Mendoza region produces roughly two-thirds of Argentina's entire wine production, supplying both reds and whites in multiple varieties. When people immigrated to Argentina from Europe, the grapes they brought were predominately Malbec, the most popular global export due to its success in the region. Similarly, the grapes producing white wines do very well and include Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from the northern vineyards, as well as the speciality grape Torrontes, a unique and delicious success.
