Sitting lower in the mountain than the sibling Mountain course, Valley is closer to the current trends in architecture, with rugged, natural bunkering, wide fairways, and more severe green complexes. All the workings of a beautiful British Columbian golf course are there: mature pines, rock outcroppings, and dramatic elevation changes, but combining it with some minimalistic features and a signature Nicklaus flare puts this firmly among the favourites on Vancouver Island.
