Often described as England’s ‘Golf Coast’, the Lancashire area is home to three of England’s five courses on the British Open rota. The triumvirate of Royals, Lytham, Birkdale and Liverpool are three of the most storied courses in the world and all are within close proximity of each other. They offer great and challenging links golf and a real sense of golf history.
The great golf extends well beyond the fairways of the three Royal clubs, with Formby and Hillside being world-class in their own right, while courses such as Southport and Ainsdale, West Lancashire, and Wallassey offer a true links experience as good as any in the UK.
To accompany the golf, the city of Liverpool and seaside resort town of Blackpool provide plenty of things to do away from the course.
