Amata Spring Country Club, an hour southeast of Bangkok in Chonburi, is Thailand's most celebrated modern course and a true bucket-list round in Asia. Lee Schmidt designed a lush parkland-meets-water layout on 950 rai (about 375 acres) with dramatic mounding, tumbling fairways, and the iconic island-green par-3 17th โ reached by boat. Amata hosted the 2009 Royal Trophy (Nick Faldo's Europe vs. Colin Montgomerie's Asia) and the 2012 & 2014 LPGA Honda Thailand events, and its immaculate presentation and world-class caddies make every round feel like a tour stop.
