Park Royal I Roveri is Italy's top-ranked golf course — 27 holes carved out of the Parco della Mandria, the former royal hunting grounds of the Savoy monarchs, just north of Turin at the foot of the Alps. The championship 18 is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design opened in 1971, with wide fairways lined by ancient oaks (the roveri that give the club its name), strategic bunkering, and pristine bentgrass greens; the additional Pramerica nine was later added by Michael Hurdzan. It has hosted the Italian Open five times — most recently in 2016 — and remains one of the most complete championship experiences in continental Europe.

Villa d'Este Golf Club is one of the great old European parklands — perched on a wooded plateau above Lake Como, minutes from the Villa d'Este hotel. Peter Gannon's 1926 design tumbles through mature chestnut, birch, and cedar forest with tight, tree-lined fairways, small, quick greens, and glimpses of the lake between the holes. It has hosted the Italian Open five times and remains one of the most cherished members' clubs in Italy — a required stop on any northern Italian golf itinerary.

Castelconturbia is a Robert Trent Jones Sr. masterpiece — 27 holes set on a rolling estate between Lake Maggiore and the Alps, north of Novara in Piedmont. Trent Jones used the natural elevation changes, mature woodland, and lake views to create three distinct nine-hole loops (Yellow, Blue, and Red), and the championship 18 (Yellow-Blue) has hosted the Italian Open twice. Wide, generous fairways, dramatic green complexes, and views of Monte Rosa in the distance make it one of the most complete and picturesque rounds in Italy.

Le Robinie Golf Club is the only Jack Nicklaus signature course in Italy — an American-style parkland northwest of Milan, opened in 1994. Broad, generous fairways lined with the mature robinia trees that give the club its name, Nicklaus' trademark strategic bunkering, and large, sweeping green complexes make it a strong championship test. It has hosted numerous Italian PGA events and remains one of the most respected daily-fee clubs in northern Italy.
