2nd best golf course in the Dominican Republic, top100golfcourse.com

Jack Nicklaus called Punta Espada at Cap Cana "one of the finest golf courses I have ever designed," and few who have played it would argue — eight of the eighteen holes play directly along the turquoise Caribbean Sea, with dramatic clifftop tee shots, white-sand bunkers, and trade winds making for an unforgettable round. Opened in 2006, the course hosted the PGA Tour Champions' Cap Cana Championship from 2008 to 2010 and remains one of the Caribbean's great visual spectacles. With the exclusive Cap Cana resort community surrounding it, this is bucket-list resort golf.

Tom Fazio's Corales at Puntacana Resort hosts the PGA Tour's Corales Puntacana Championship each year, the Tour's only annual event in the Caribbean. Six holes play directly along the Caribbean Sea — including the legendary "Devil's Elbow" closing stretch (16, 17, 18) over the ocean — while inland holes wind through coral cliffs, native vegetation, and dramatic blowholes. Opened in 2010, it's the highest-rated of the four Tom Fazio-designed Puntacana courses and one of the truly great resort courses in the world.

P.B. Dye
Rankings
6th best golf course in the Dominican Republic, top100golfcourse.com

P.B. Dye's La Cana at Puntacana Resort was the first championship golf course built in the Dominican Republic's Punta Cana region, opening in 2001 and helping put the area on the international golf map. The 27-hole layout — three nine-hole loops called Tortuga, Hacienda, and Arrecife — features four holes along the Caribbean Sea, generous fairways framed by coconut palms, and the architect's trademark green complexes that demand both creativity and precision. With a more relaxed pace than its more famous Puntacana sibling Corales, La Cana is the perfect warm-up — or wind-down — to any Punta Cana golf itinerary.
