Fairmont Banff Springs is the other half of Stanley Thompson's Canadian Rockies double-header — opened in 1928 in the shadow of Mount Rundle at the foot of the iconic Banff Springs Hotel. Thompson used the Bow River, the Spray River gorge, and the Rundle range as strategic and visual anchors — the famous par-3 4th ("Devil's Cauldron"), played over a glacial pond to a green tucked against the cliff, is regularly named one of the great one-shot holes in world golf. Sagebrush is the boldest modern course in Canada — a Rod Whitman / Richard Zokol / Armen Suny design set on rolling grassland high above Nicola Lake, north of Merritt, BC. Reopened in 2018 after a period of dormancy, Sagebrush plays firm, fast, and windswept — with wide, tumbling fairways, deep native-grass rough, and greens that reward the ground game. The Ridge Course at Predator Ridge, opened in 2010, is Doug Carrick's counterpoint to Les Furber's original Predator Course — a walkable, ridge-hopping layout with wider fairways, more strategic options, and sweeping views over Okanagan Lake and the surrounding vineyards. Carrick used the natural elevation changes and volcanic rock outcrops to create a more forgiving-but-still-strategic test than its sister course; together the two make Predator Ridge one of Canada's best 36-hole destinations.

The Mt. Kidd Course at Kananaskis Country is the more scenic of the resort's two Robert Trent Jones Sr. designs — set in a broad valley south of Canmore, surrounded on all sides by the peaks of Kananaskis Country. Trent Jones used the Kananaskis River, native forest, and dramatic elevation changes to create a genuine championship-standard layout that stayed true to the natural landscape. Comprehensively rebuilt in 2018 after the 2013 flood, the course today plays firmer and better-conditioned than ever.

Meandering its way through the beautiful British Columbian countryside, Les Furber's routing finds a way to provide drama at every turn. The front nine works its way up the mountain before dramatically tumbling down at the 6th, 8th and 9th, while the back nine plays up top and down below of the mountainous landscape to provide a dunescape-esque experience. Very few golf courses provide as many exciting shots as Predator Ridge's Predator course, which is often referred to as Les Furber's magnum opus.
