Cancellation Charges

Notice of cancellation of any GolfAway Cruise package must be provided in writing to GolfAway Tours stating the reasons for cancellation. If cancellation by one or more members of your group alters the room occupancy of the remaining group members, those members still travelling will be required to pay any revised charges. In addition, penalties for cancellations by individuals within the group, or of the group as a whole, will be charged as follows:

A. Airfare portion

       a) cancellation any time prior to departure - 100% of airfare portion price

B. Cruise Package portion - Each cruise line has their own set of cancellation penalties. Typically they are as shown
                                                   below. Specific terms and conditions will be discussed with clients at time of booking.

       a) Cancellation made 57 days or more prior to departure - $500.00 per person.

       b) Cancellation made between 56 and 29 days prior to departure - 50% of full cruise price.

       c) Cancellation between 28 and 16 days prior to departure - 75% of full cruise price.

       d) Cancellation within 15 days of departure - 100% of land portion price.

Provided that cancellation is due to medical or related causes as outlined in their Cancellation or Comprehensive Insurance policy, clients having paid the applicable insurance premium will be able to recover such penalties from the insurer.

Comprehensive Insurance

GolfAway Tours strongly recommends that clients purchase either Cancellation or the more inclusive Deluxe Tour Package travel insurance. Cancellation insurance protects paid-out funds against unexpected cancellation due to medical or related causes as laid out in the policy. It also protects against baggage loss or damage and provides travel accident insurance. Deluxe Tour Package insurance provides the same protection as Cancellation insurance as well as unlimited out-of-country hospital and medical coverage.

Such insurance is not included in our cruise packages. We strongly recommend that clients ensure that they either have or arrange (at least) Cancellation Insurance. Full details of the penalties associated with each cruise and the applicable insurance coverages available will be provided upon request or at time of booking. Please note that the cost of travel insurance is non-refundable in all cases. In any case, the cost of this insurance is nonrefundable.
